Same rules as other roadshows.

Rules:

  1. Must have 200 posts on Carver site!
  2. Must be willing to pay shipping to the next person on the list (doesn't have to be insured)

Some of the salient specs:

Dielectric constants:

Vacuum:  1.0
Unbleached cotton (these cables):    1.3
FEP 1.5
Foamed PE 1.6
Teflon 1.9

I haven't measured this yet, but from the site:
Parallel capacitance:  3 pF/ft
Series inductance: 200 uH total

The vanhaus recipe calls for a helix wind of about 2 to 3 inches per turn.  That should afford some measure of noise rejection without building up much of an inductance in the line along the way, but I went a different way first try.

Conductor:
99.9999% pure silver (4 nines)

Dielectric:
unbleached cotton

Core/spacing material:
2 1/4 inch teflon tubes (for 1/2 inch spacing between conductors)

Shield:  non-coaxial mylar sheath; the guard is seperate from the ground line (why pollute the ground?) and terminated with a ferrite suppressor to absorb emi.

Plugs:      Eichmann silver bullet:  4 nines pure silver rod

Solder:    7% silver solder

List so far:

PDR
TNRabbit

any other takers?
Enjoy!

Actually Rich Take me off the Roadshow list and just put me down for a pair at whatever price you want and I dont need a moneyback warranty either if I like them I will order a second pair. I like your design and and the Eichman silver ends I have used them before and was very happy. Just let me know when you want the money how much and how to send it, via PayPal or postal money order and I will fire it off to you today, tommorrow, next week or next month your choice.

I'm planning on:

$220 on ebay (pretty much my cost, I might be losing about $10 here or there)
and

a credit of 35 cents per post (up to 200 posts)  so a high posting member could get them for

$150
Enjoy!
