OK Rich I have a question. I have seen these before but what do they do I know they go with my M400 cube but?

They'll work with any amp (or receiver); essentially, if you have a receiver and want to use it as a preamp, this takes the speaker level outputs and drops them down to line level. you then feed the line level signal into an amp
