I'm just sitting here watching the wheels go 'round and 'round....

Thank you for everyone's input.

The amplifier has been bought.  It will either work fine or it will need to be repaired.  Let's see how it goes.

From what I have seen, his amps were not adequately tested (which is indeed, part of workmanship).

This is not a personal thing - this is technical. We call it what it is because that is our responsibility as support techs.

Any newly acquired Kall amp should be sent in for review.

Ironically, it was a Kall amp that brought me to you all here several years ago. I bought a 1.0t "mk2" (Kall calls his mk2, instead of mkII), and googled to see what I had. Came here and posted some questions, and Rich was kind enough to point out what needed to be modified. I fixed the TIPs (re drilled and proper stress bends), insulated the back of the rectifier board, insulated the thump fix components, and did a full power test on both of my Kall amps. I have driven the 5hi7 out of them on Kappa 9s, ALIIIs, Polk SDAs, and many others, without issue.

Here is my original thread, with Rich's comments, if you are interested.
