Since I have a Roku 4K, I see no need to upgrade my BDP-105D. I feed the optical output of the Roku into the 105D for the excellent DAC. I also use the 105D for Blu-Ray discs obviously, but also to stream Tidal. With that said, we hardly every put a disc in it.
