I know, I know, what the hell would you have a headphone thread for at a Carver Site? But, now and then, I use headphones for listening, comparing, even trouble shooting. So here is what I found. Some guy out there thinks a bit like I do, and wondered why headphones were made as though our hearing is all the same for both ears, for each person, and so on. So I found his product at 'EVEN Headphones' or something like that. The idea is to take sort of hearing test with these headphones to get a jist of how your hearing really is. Then put that information into a small module that is included with the headphones that he sells. Don't take me word for word on this, but I did bite, and have a set of these to try out, on the way to my door. I would like to hear if there is enough difference for from before and after. If so, they may be well worth the $179 (shipping included). Perhaps some you have heard of this company?

This is 'room correction' for your ears. I like the premise of personalizing headphones to a specific listener. Slightly OT, but microphones have unique characteristics, and my HT testing seems to indicate that it is relevant to 'tune' these devices.

My wife has digitally corrected hearing aids. Now she's always trying to tell me what needs to be tuned in on our systems......

I talked a guy that had those sort of hearing aids. Could even get a wireless signal from his TV or phone. Not bad if that is what you need. Just pony up $6500. and bingo, your the talk of the town.

That sounds about right. Get wifi from the movie theater directly, have a remote for switching programs for driving, working, music, ignoring the husband...., Apparently have 3 direction microphones in each one.
Bionic hearing.

These headphones were discussed in another forum I frequent just a few days ago.  I find the concept of auto-equalization an interesting feature that might also help me enjoy headphones.  I wear hearing aids.   So I look forward to your critique.

Man, those guys are fast! Phones came in today. Here is a shot of them. This is pretty much something that when I compared it to my other phones and buds, there was no comparison for me. A bit heavy on the bass, yet most phones are the opposite.

And, to complete the outfit, I am using a Xonos X1HA-EPC battery powered headphone amp. It has a crosstalk feature that I don't use much, but the sound is effortless to drive this new set of phones. Ok, that's about it. Oy, I might as well mention that my old phones were Sennheiser HD520, and the ear buds were Ultimate ear. Both are more than 10 years old if that makes any difference.
