Here's a product I saw at the McIntosh display at this year's CES.  As you can see in the photo, it has the look of a stereo amp, but is a clock and displays the time on the Vu Meters. 
 
 
What would you guys think about something like this done to look like a M-500?

I think it would be a very cool idea if you can get the faceplate to look right.

Looks like McIntosh marketing department thought they could come up with a very high margin product to boost the bottom like.  $1500 for clock, and it probably doesn't even have an alarm, let alone an Ipod interface!  For that price you should be able to network it!
