Yep.....makes me smile when I think of the cars I had when I as younger, then sold for dirt.

Am a Dodge/Chrysler guy myself......the old Challengers and Dart/Demons were my fav.

Bought my wife a RT Charger a few yrs ago, goes like mad and handles like a dream but just not the same as the old muscle cars. Built a 82 Camaro up 20 yrs ago.....was my last "nicely" built car, but wasnt quite old enough....the 70s ruled.

If wishes were fishes we would all cast nets  If I had only hung onto some of the cars I had when I was younger I could retire and if I had bought some I didn't buy when they were a dime a dozen I would be a millionaire, I remember for example looking at a 1969-70? Purple Plymouth Superbird convertible 4 speed manual Hurst with the 426 hemi the one with the wing on the back to hold it down on the road and the fellow wanted 3k for it, now at the time 75-76 maybe? you could buy pretty much any mid to late 60's  muscle car you wanted for $1500.00 they were truly everywhere and cheap because of the gas crisis thing so I thought to myself that is just insane he will never get 3k for that, well take a look at what recent auctions are for them now.

What a fool I was for not picking up 10-20 of them cheap I remember right down the street a fellow had this 67-68 ?Mustang 428 Cobra jet for sale at $1200.00  I believe it was in a beautiful red color and it sat there for over a year at least with no takers.

Of course I remember throwing boxes of  hundreds of vacuum  tubes away too around the same time period

REGARDS SNOW

Yup, one of my faves is a Purple Challenger w/white conv. top & white upholstery + BIG BLOCK power ! See them on the Mecum auctons very rarely. I once had a 69 dodge pick-up with a nasty 383 in it.

Thanks for posting this.
I've only had one car that I really liked - a 67 289 Mustang which was also my first car.
It set me back $300 in 1977 and I certainly got my money's worth of fun out of it.
Lots of old junk all over the place.
