I bought this C-1 as a repair unit. In that process it got new TI 4136 op amps in the critical circuits; main gain stage and phono stage(s). A few other bad parts were replaced and the main gain was reduced from 22dB down to 14dB.
I had most parts on-hand for the remote install. It's a very clean install: +/-12V regulation, IR controller with motor drive, NOS ALPS pot. I've done 5-6 of these with the only real variation being the pot. I won't use the stock ones that come with the controllers. They are counterfeit and prone to failure, happened with my C-11 install. This is the best pot I've used yet. It's quiet and fast. Very well matched.
The physical condition speaks for itself. A few scratches on the bottom which I did not take pics of. Back is clean. I can take more pics if anyone interested. Probably put this on the Bay next week.
