I have 2 Carver A-220's for sale. Both are cleaned, recapped and restored. Cosmetics are excellent, although both have some minor wear and tear. Priced to sell.

$250 ea + shipping, or $450 for both + shipping.

Specifications

Power output: 175 watts per channel into 8Ω (stereo), 350W into 8Ω (mono)

Frequency response: 20Hz to 20kHz

Total harmonic distortion: 0.08%

Damping factor: 150

Gain: 29 dB

Input sensitivity: 1V

Signal to noise ratio: 112dB

Speaker load impedance: 4Ω (minimum)

Dimensions: 122 x 483 x 389mm

Weight: 12kg

Year: 1997

These are direct coupled outputs, so great current sourcing. Heavy, linear power supply. Original meter bulbs. They sound clean and detailed, excellent for surround speakers or center channel.

I would be interested in knowing what is involved in a rebuild.

They're like working on a TFM-15 - very similar topology.

Hello, I'm not registered yet but came across these.

Are these still available?

I am interested & have questions about the A-220?

Thank you.

How does this compare to the M-1.0t sound quality? I'm considering many Carver amps. I want to build a great Carver home stereo, simple yet awesome with just CD player and AR speakers. But I want kick but tone. Help me chose an amp & preamp please? This A-220 may work for me?
