  1. Those are beautiful speakers. I've always wanted a pair but they are just too far away.
  2. It isn't as specific, but I'm listening to a lot less "New" and "Popular" music. In the past I have tried to give a listen to the new and popular releases in hopes of finding a hidden gem. Unfortunately, it seems that it has become so rare to find anything I consider worth a second listen that I tend to stick mostly to old favorites. The current releases I do listen to tend to be new material from known artists. (Like a new Diana Krall album)
  3. This is beyond strange... But a lot of fun.
  4. No... Your comment was fine. We just need to be extra vigilant in reminding folks not to stray into political discourse. It tends to rapidly devolve into a train wreck and ends with anger and hurt feelings. But for the political issues, we are all friends here and it just isn't worth damaging that.
  5. I guess my memory isn't what it used to be. I had a signature about 10 years ago and thought I remembered it being 10" also. The MKIV is definitely 10".
  6. Unfortunately, I can't come. I would need to hire the visiting nurses to watch Doreen for the whole time I was gone and I am not in a position to do that. I believe they use the same driver. The difference was in the amp.
  7. I have a nice Sunfire true sub MKIV that is in need of repair for sale if anyone is interested. I purchased it with the intention of getting the amp fixed/recapped and using it. I have decided that I really don't need it so it is time to move it along to someone else. It is in very good cosmetic condition and I was told when I purchased it that it had issues coming out of stand bye. I would like to get $200 shipping PayPal f/f option. I could consider trades but it would have to be something i really want because there is domestic pressure to get rid of some of the stuff I will likely not use any time soon... (If someone is interested in just the Amp or the Woofer I would consider breaking it up.)
  8. What a flash back to growing up. We heated entirely with wood and had 8-10 cords delivered in log form like these. I had to cut, split, wheel around back and stack them. It was a regular part of summer for many years. I do miss the radiant feel of the wood heat. Now I don't have the option of even occasionally lighting a fire. Doreen is on oxygen and we have multiple tanks in the house. No open flames... Not even a candle.
  9. Very nice! Thanks for offering such a useful karma.
  10. Now I have heard it. I suspect it would bring great happiness to my youngest grand daughter...
  11. $29.99 !!!!!!! We used to sell new sealed MFSL records for less that that.
  12. A blonde teenager, wanting to earn some extra money for the summer, decided to hire herself out as a "handy-woman" She started canvassing a nearby well-to-do neighborhood. She went to the front door of the first house, and asked the owner if he had any odd jobs for her to do. "Well, I guess I could use somebody to paint my porch," he said, "How much will you charge me?" Delighted, the girl quickly responded, "How about $50?" The man agreed and told her that the paint brushes and everything she would need was in the garage. The man's wife, hearing the conversation said to her husband, "Does she realize that our porch goes ALL the way around the house?" He responded, "That's a bit cynical, isn't it?" The wife replied, "You're right. I guess I'm starting to believe all those dumb blonde jokes we've been getting by email lately." Later that day, the blonde teenager came to the door to collect her money. "You're finished already?" the startled husband asked. "Yes, she replied, and I even had paint left over, so I gave it two coats." Impressed, the man reached into his pocket for the $50.00 and handed it to her along with a $10.00 tip. “And, by the way," the teenager added, "it's not a Porch, it's a Lexus."
