  1. So your back pockets did not get 'damp'?
  2. I've posted this elsewhere on the site, but 25(?) years ago my house was burgled and my Sony 3 head cassette deck was taken. A few years ago it showed up on the local classifieds. I had replaced the power switch with something not stock so it was easy to identify. Got it back for $25 and it works perfectly.
  3. Spinning Wheel was the first song that got my attention as a kid with a transistor radio.

This just popped up. Excellent live recording.
  7. Must hunt one of those down ASAP! I just picked up a "numbered" MOFI SACD of Supertramp's Breakfast in America. Had the original vinyl from the UK - sound quality was awesome. It got ruined. Bought several North American pressings - subpar. The CD editions were horrible. This SACD - on the DSD layer or the Redbook layer (It's a hybrid) is fan-funkin-tastic!
  8. Welcome aboard! Also you may post pics now.
  9. A lawyer, who had a wife and 12 children, needed to rent a larger house However, he was having a lot of difficulties finding a new place to house his family. When he said he had 12 children, no one would rent a home to him because they felt that the children would destroy the place. He couldn't say he had no children because he couldn't lie; we all know lawyers cannot and do not lie. So, he sent his wife for a walk to the cemetery with 11 of their kids. He took the remaining one with him to see rental homes with the real estate agent. He loved one of the homes and the price was right -- the agent asked “How many children do you have?” He answered: "Twelve.” The agent asked, "Where are the others?" The lawyer, with his best courtroom sad look, answered, "They're in the cemetery with their mother." MORAL: It's not necessary to lie, one only has to choose the right words ...and don't forget, many of our politicians went to school to become lawyers!

That confused me. There's a double bass player by the same name, worked with Chick Corea.
  12. Honestly, I've never dealt with the AVR version. From afar, they look to be kissing cousins. You would know better than I on the differences. What are your impressions. And ignore @bfg4wd
  13. Hi CF1 I realize you are new here, so I'll lay it out for you. Keep both, acquire more! That's how we roll here.🤣 All BS aside, Why do you think you would be better off with the AVR?
  14. I believe there is medication for that! 😜
  15. My father was one of the original old school audiophiles. Home made tube amps and pres, home made speakers. Reel to reel decks and original belt drive turntables. And he did convert a dish washer into a disc washer....
  16. You need to put a thermostatic control valve on the hot water input. Limit it to 110F Clamp your LPs with rubber or silicone seals to protect the labels. Make sure you have Jet-dry in for the rise cycle. Disable the dry cycle heater. It's a DIY thing....
  17. No that's Joel Zimmerman AKA DeadMau5 (It's supposed to be pronounced DeadMouse BTW) He had a long runninglegal battle with the owners of Mickey Mouse over that helmet, but as they promoted him as is for a time even using his music, he won out in the end.
  18. Do you have a scale to set your tracking weight? It's the only method I trust....
  19. Sadly, no cleaner removes wear or abuse. However, LP cleaner solution is super easy to DIY!
  20. Well, look what the python dragged in! Nice to see you Steve.
