  1. This guy works on McIntosh? and all those high end units...but your right...I would prefer to have someone who has passion and a complete understanding of these units to bring this one back from the dead. Any suggestions would be well received!
  2. Actually my M500t is in the shop right now and they're drawing a blank in fixing it. So perhaps a change of direction may be in order for repairs. Where can the spiritual advisers be found...perhaps they can do a Exorcism on this unit. The CD changer is a SD/A350 That I had not used much in several years and what used to be a little slow platter turned into a non-working unit. I can hear the motor with the belt working ...but none of the other motors seem to want to cooperate! Since it is a Korean made unit...didn't know if it would be worth the $$ to repair it.
  3. Good Day All! I'm in the process of putting back together a Stereo system after having sold my M500 several years ago. I currently have a CT-17 and a M400t. I have waiting in the wings a A500x and a sick M500t (it was a 1 owner, that was in storage for 20 yrs.) Yea right! I'm using a Adcom GTP750 & GFA 7400 for my 5 channel system with a set of Cambridge Soundworks Movie Works 5.1 speakers. I currently have a Technics SL-D205 turntable w/ a Shure V-15 III GZ cartridge and have a Garrard GT-55 w/ a Audio-Technica 1001 cartridge on stand by. My 5 disc Carver CD changer is in need of a tune-up so I'm contemplating if I should just replace it or fix it. Speaker-wise I have a bit of a need as I just using a set of Kilipsch KD-1 w/ the Cambridge 10" subwoofer clipping off what it needs. I see that just having the amp is certainly just the tip of the iceburg. I hope by joining this site, I will be able to direct my $ a little more wisely! Staring in awe! William
