    I think I might have opened up another can of worms. I posted on a local community website that I was looking for old stereo equipment for educational uses and possible restoration and I have 3 people today text me to come get equipment for free. 😂

    Hi Kevin 

    I am working on a MXR 130.  It was intermittent when I got it so I decided to re-cap, relay and TC9147BP plus trim cap.  I still have no display or control.  I did find and replace several shorted caps and burnt resistors.  I recently repaired a MXR 90 and have been comparing voltages, as the circuits are very similar.  Any areas to check and voltages would be greatly appreciated.

      Look at all of your powers and grounds to the IC's. I've found numerous shorted caps and open resistors along those paths.

    Dynaco MKIII's Changing from SED 6550s to Gen. Gold Lion KT-88s (Russia) would I need to reset Bias?

      Yes. DC meter connected to Chassis (Neg) and pin #8 (Pos) on the octal power take off socket. Set to 1.56V with no signal.

    Ok... Tell me more about Onkyo. A miss performing Cd player is no good to me for trouble shooting other equipment.  Anyway, the next will be my third.

      My favorite <$200 Cd player. I used to put a tube buffer in them. I still have a few kicking around.
