Big "one arm" John Wrencher (he lost his left arm in a car accident in the late 50's) with Little Buddy Thomas (guitar) and Playboy Vinson (drums), regular street performers on Chicago's Maxwell Street during the 60's. Cover art is by R. Crumb.

Moanin' is another classis jazz LP engineered by Rudy Van Gelder and recorded at his New Jersey studio (1958). The lineup is Art Blakey (drums), Lee Morgan (trumpet), Benny Golson (tenor sax), Bobby Timmons (piano) and Jymie Merritt (bass).
