Four 4.0t's? With CV's? yikes.gif! And I thought biamping my Vandee 2CE Sigs with a 4.0t and a TFM45 was an overkillemembarrassed.gif... Do the LEDs even move?eusa_doh.gifI'm glad I'm not your neighbor!emwink.gif

Thanks for the photo Charlie. That's quite a system you have but the room appears to be a bit small. Time to knock out a few walls?

I think this is sitting inside an 18-wheeler and he points the CVs out during tailgate parties.

That's a mighty impressive system Charlie. eusa_clap.gif

I'm curious about the three preamps though. Do you use all of them or are two just for show?

I'm going to experiment with the C4000 and the RTR; presently the TEAC CD is run directly to the RTR. I'm going to run the TEAC CD through the C4000 to the RTR to see if I can encode tape with SH. The Upper C-1 is being used for a base to plug in other components as I have run out of AC inputs due to some wall warts. It also has a bad left-channel low volume dropoff so it will be given the BillD treatment at some future time. The BillD C-1 in the middle runs the whole show... 14.gif

That looks fantastic, Charlie! Thank you for the nice pics and specs. emsmile.gif

Well, we know where all the M-4.0t's went! Did you buy them all new, or collect them over the years?

*Two* C-1's and a C4000 all in the same system- and a two-channel system at that! Thanks for clarifying how they're set up. Makes sense, but that's got to be some kind of record. I thought it deserved a meme:

I've collected the M4.0t's in pairs over the past 2 years. Previously, I was running 2 TFM-35x amps in stereo but I decided to go for it and get the bigger dogs! They're in fairly good shape but I'm going to have them recapped/refurbished as finances permit.... emnote.gif

Really nice Charlie - that new R2R sure looks sweet sitting up there and those tube buffers are definately icing on the cake. I can't even begin to imagine what your system sounds like but I'll bet it's responsible for a lot of wet pants.

This about a month's worth of work with advice from some of the best minds on this site giving me advice. I still have a bit more to go with rerouting cable and tuning the Bass to my liking. I'm also going to have the amp covers powder-coated; most of them have varying degrees of scatches which really show up when you take pics..

The C-4000 is home to all inputs and feeds both of the BillD C-1's from the TAPE OUT 1 & 2. The Yaqin Tube Buffers are in between the C- 4000 and the C-1's. The EQ's are dedicated to each C-1 and set to the same curves. From there the C-1's feed a bank of 4 amps each which we then fed 2 Amps to each speaker. The sound is extremely clear...

Wow Charlie.
Beauuuutiful work there my friend.

Love the meticulous wire wrapping.
And the LED meters must look so cool jumpin'-- especially with low light conditions.  Those M4.0t's are beasts.  One of my favorite amps.

I'm sure she sounds as good as she looks and I nominate you AGAIN (along with L_t and R2U) for featured system of the month status. Maybe in the new site you will be elevated to the Carver Hall of Fame.
Thanks for the great pics and even greater dedication to your Carver craft.

Cheers Beer!
