  1. Savoy Brown, Ain't Done Yet was released on August 28, 2020. "Longevity is often a rarity in the fickle world of rock, but when it comes to the blues, it’s never considered out of the ordinary. Most of the great blues artists of the last half century — be it B.B. King, Buddy Guy, John Mayall or Delbert McClinton are known for making music into their 80s or beyond, proving that their prowess doesn’t diminish with age, and in fact, often becomes more definitive and defined." 3. Hi mark33442!!!! Welcome to the Carversite. You found the right place. Lots of good things happening around here all the time. I have a MXR 2000 that i have had for 35 years that finally developed problems. The experts here speeded to the rescue, set me up with someone local to have a look at it and it has been perfect ever since. Great group of guys around here that are always willing to help and they are always so much fun. I am sure that one of the on-duty techs will be back to you shortly😀.

  6. After reading the Admin basics, I assume I'm a Novice as a new member. Over the years (decades now I'm afraid to admit) I've had quite a bit of Carver gear, and regret ever selling off any of it. The trauma of those transactions has caused me to not remember even why I sold, so don't ask! PTSD. LOL. That said currently I have (only) a Receiver 900 that I'd love to get repaired. It worked great for years, then one day it didn't. I don't recall any symptoms, clues that it was going out. I'm in the Cincinnati Ohio area and would like to find a reputable (Carver-wise) repair place I could deliver it to as opposed to shipping coast-to-coast. But I'm not "against" that if it gets me to the best Carver specialists. Thanks y'all for having this site and for providing a forum for the fine Carver equipment users. Like my Thiel speakers, it is a shame when the legends pass on and the companies change direction (or just disappear). Stay well all!

  10. Get the Weller. Replacement parts are available, it's well built and should last a long time. You didn't say what exactly isn't working. Does it power up? Replace the relays first. If you get sound, you know the power supplies are functional. You should go slow, paying close attention to capacitor polarity. Take pictures before you touch anything so you can refer back to them if you have any question as to "how it was". The faintest ink is better than the best memory... I would verify all of the power supply and amplifier sections are working before touching the tuner trimmer. Do you have the procedure and tools to align the tuner properly?

  11. Welcome, Jeff @Crittenden. Nice Avatar ! @kve777 seems to be one with LOTS of Carver receiver "experience" (sometimes referred to as OCCD..., but maybe in his case "hoarding". 😉 ). You can't go wrong shipping your 900 to Kevin. OTOH, if you are looking for an early Fall drive through Michigan (navigating the roads of Detroit, too)..., Greg at Nelion ( @Nahash5150 ) --- Google Maps says he's a scenic drive from Cleveland through Sandusky, Toledo, Ann Arbor, and up to the thumb of MI to Bay City, then across the mitten to Hersey..., that's not a bad drive for a Carver visit at all, then if you are adventurous, the trip home could be through Grand Rapids and Lansing. That's a nice Michigan weekend roadtrip I would take someday - for you, about 6 hours each way. Oh, yes, if you are handy..., and can use a soldering iron..., there is always the DIY approach with some help from people here..., if you have basic electronics knowledge, there's a lot of help here. Either way, we're glad you are here (hear)...,

  12. Welcome! If you want to ship it to NJ, I'd be glad to bring it back to it's former glory! The 900 is a favorite here.
