  1. Well I think this is where you introduce yourself. First I just want to say thank you for welcoming me to this site. I was turned on to this site by Aceman117. I Live in the Western part of NY in Orchard Park. Also kinda new to the Carver world buy slowly getting there. From what I can see the little bit I've been signed on everyone is pretty down to earth. I'm gonna keep it short and once again thanks for the welcome.

  2. Hi all, I’m from western Washington & have owned a Carver for over 25 years. I bought my first Carver when I was a student at WSU. I’ve always been an audio enthusiast and, in fact, when I was 6 years old, I tore apart a transistor radio just to see how it worked. I pursued a career in radio/television production and became an audio engineer, but I am now a mom and work in education. I still like to play load, excellent sounding music in all areas of my house and built an amazing sounding movie room. It helps having an electrician for a husband. I look forward to talking shop with all of you on this forum. “These all go to eleven.” - Spinal Tap

  3. Welcome @Cornflake - if @aceman117 brought you here, you are of good character..., the OCCD kind... LoL. Glad you are here... And, well, you have to take the "Good with the Borscht..." (having a little fun with @B-Man😉 ). Really, this site is a lot of fun, karma, and great technical support/help/knowledge... Welcome !

  18. I have 3 on the go in the Music Room atm; Rocket Ranch ties in alot of the "behind the scene" details other history books skip over when talking about launch and mission control centers. Titan II A History of a Cold War Missile Program The problems encountered and resolved with contractor management, concurrent design, construction and maintanance are an increadable insight into a _massive_ and increadably technical engineering project. Wow Ignition! The first 2 chapters are chalk full of humour, but after that, dig your heels in for some chemistry. This book gives insight to all the liquid fueled rocket programs; Murcury, Gemini, Atlas, Titan I/II etc and how brutally hard these fuels were to engineer engines for. Read Titan II for stories

  20. Good for you for reading that one. She makes critical race theory palatable and understandable for the masses. For counterpoint, I would suggest Eric Lindsay. He is quite competent on the topic.

  22. Welcome. Check it out - there is a lot of info here. Lots of great people too. Be forewarned - a certain member, who eats lots of Borscht and has terrible gas to prove it, will likely try to influence you and generally stirs up trouble wherever he goes. He was once the king of dudeism but he apparently hit his head or something and has never been quite the same since. Now that he is old as dirt he resides in the frozen wasteland that some people call Canada - I guess it's warmer than Russia?? Guys like Balok, Daddyjt, Nahash5150, KVE777 can offer more insight. Just ignore him, if you can.
