  1. Welcome Ron looking foward to your post.
  2. You have me going like a one legged grasshopper in a chicken yard -Jim G Lovell-my grandfather
  3. Eventually those "Young ones" will grow up and there ears will want "the sound" and they will find their selves looking for a full sound with quality. Besides it will then be a status symbol.---Woo did I just describe myself-8 tracks and cassets or quad sound ala Montgomery Ward? I did love to play my music LOUD just did not have ear buds to do it with. It's all cyclic.
  4. Me thanks too Got out my guitar and played along.
  5. I looked into a Logitech Transport and thought it looked pretty good, but I guess I am still old school, and like my Sony 300 CD "juke box" all original (I spend a lot of time looking for well recorded CD's) no copies. The first copy is good when using lossless but due to the compression ,any and every copy you make from that particular copy will be degraded. I am too old to be compressed
  6. wma lossless. unless your using a SONAS playbak as it will not work with it. FLAC is an open source and also very good.
  7. I have found no diffrence except price and volume so whatever fits best for you I would think.
  8. Welcome Sanford. I am with Balok. Step up the B&Ws to the 800 series at least. Especially as you stated you keep your equipment forever. I use the 704s for 2 channel but they are very hard to find at the moment. Love em with the M-10t. Besides, I shopped a long time, and can still sell and get my money back.
  9. Welcome Bill. I am a purposley bred and born Texan, in Texas, but Graduated Rollins back in the 60s.
  10. Well it looks like there is some dust inside this juke box so I guess I will take apart and clean(:
  11. Thanks. I guess I will wait till after X-mas and take all the CD's out (over 200) and clean. I just noticed as I was adding some X-mas music to my collection yesterday that it was getting a little dusty in there.
  12. As I do not play X-Mas music but once a year on my Sony Juke Box. I have found some of the CD's needed cleaning. Anyone have a BEST REMIDY for this? I have seen many on the market, needles to say. Along with this I would ask, "What is the best way to clean the interior workings of the Sony Juke Box"? Thanks for your thoughts as always.
  13. Welcome Greg --Everyone here will be more than happy to help I am shure, and I for one (because I don't know how to help) will be looking foward to hearing about your progress.
  14. What is the Best Studio Mix CD you have heard? It may not be your favorite song or artist but it had to have had that sence of space and placement that gave you a WOW Due to the quality and ,or mixing that was done in the studio. Mine is Days the of New Produced by Scott Litt 1997 Outpost Recordings Distrubeted by Universal Music and Recordings OPRD 30004
  15. GOOD ONE REaly GOOD ONE!! as we say in Texas
  16. Rollin' Stone. It was on hell of a concert and I think one of the best next to James Gang in FL. 1972
  17. Dave, Welcome my friend to the forum that never ends.
  18. As I am a Blues freak, and just gotta feel the mood to really put down some great licks on the guitar--One has always stuck in my head. My Woman Left Me for a Blind Man---and I still don't seem to CARE I think Led Zep did it best. By the way FYI the latest Dig Re-Master produced by Robert Plant is a must if you like Zep:)
  19. I just took my temp. alas it's too late in any case. I spent several months reading up on Mr. Carver and it would seem he was a Maverick ahead of his time. Just my kind of guy.
