  1. This Duetsche Grammaphone recording of Ravel's "Bolero" is excellent & exhibits extraordinary dynamic range. Caution must be used when listening at high volume levels!! While "Bolero" was the most famous piece, I really like "La Valse". It is a wild piece with crazy dynamic jumps!
  2. "The Safety Dance" by Men Without Hats. Kill me.
  3. I was in Scotland, when I walk into a pub with only one man in it. I pull up a chair as he slides me a beer and I ask him why he's all alone. He answers, "You see that barn out the window? I built that barn all by meself with me bare hands! But do they call me McGregor: The Barn Builder? FECK NO!" He slams his pint on the bar loudly, and points out the other window. "Y'see that bridge out there? I built that all by meself, stone by stone with me bare hands! But do they call me McGregor: The Bridge Builder? FECK NO!" He slams his pint again. "This very bar, I built it timber by timber with me bare hands but do they call me McGregor: The Bar Builder? FECK NO!" He slams his pint one last time and cradles his head in his hands. "...but ye fuck ONE goat..."
  4. Welcome back to Carverholics Anonymous~ I remember you....you're in my neck of the woods (I live in Spotsylvania). We need to get together sometime...
  5. Welcome, Doug! 98 six cylinder....hmmmm....Valkyrie?
  6. The rabbit's name was Oolong. The "pancake" is actually a Japanese confection, а red-bean pancake which consists of two small pancake-like patties made from castella wrapped around a filling of sweet Azuki red bean paste~ You can read about Oolong here: http://web.archive.org/web/20020607070235/http://www.syberpunk.com/cgi-bin/index.pl?page=oolong
  7. Hi, Raven~ Good to finally see you over here! WELCOME!!
  8. turns out the buzzing came from the xo board....had to put sound proofing over it... want to replace with a plate like you did...next step.... Something like this should solve the problem:
  9. Are you sure it isn't speaker farting coming from a bad surround or bad seal between the woofer & the enclosure?
  10. Welcome, C A P! I've been on carveraudio since 2006. What was your original screen name? The B&G ribbons would require a different passive crossover to work properly. You could use an active crossover & biamp using the B&G ribbons. Not sure if the result would be what you remember, as they DO sound different.
