  1. "what a sublime work of emotion and intellect"
  2. Ray, our little local library branch is a source of checkout CDs, and like you, try-before-rip to hard disc. As the at-home CD library gets winnowed, the say-sayonara CDs go to the library's fifty-cent sale rack. I shop there, too!
  3. Charlie, Bert K, okay!
  4. Thanks to dennismiller's Billiards Table Sale at CarverFest.
  5. Paul, I faced some weird speaker noise (static-like sound, volume loss); jiggling the speaker wires at the banana plugs was unequivocal, yea–nay? The banana plugs were screw compression-style. Straightforward, right? So I asked about. Redoing the wire-to-plug several times was a failure. The problem resolved with a set of banana plug speaker wires from Monoprice. Was it the banana plugs, the wire, the assembly? I dunno, likely the latter, I am not good with even the basics, i.e., wire stripping, soldering. Stick with it, members are here to help.
  6. Welcome. OCCD is sure to follow.
  7. Courtesy of Dennis (dennismiller); we've been dancing'!
  8. Dennis (dennismiller), thank you, right up my alley! Top notch!
  9. Welcome, John. The annual Carverfest gathering in Western North Carolina, just concluding, may be something to keep an opening for on your 2018 calendar. Until then, read, join the conversations, enjoy the music.
  10. Beethoven’s Advice on Being an Artist: His Touching Letter to a Little Girl Who Sent Him Fan Mail “The true artist is not proud… Though he may be admired by others, he is sad not to have reached that point to which his better genius only appears as a distant, guiding sun.” Sunday morning reading.
