  1. Yup, Yamaha PC-5002M. Pro version of their 101M:
  2. This morning, the lunatics in management asked if a 10kW generator would suffice to keep one of the operations going. Probably not, considering they're talking about powering a 200hp CNG compressor... When they found out how much it would cost to rent a big enough generator, suddenly it was OK if the trucks won't run for a while.
  3. It turns out FedEx offers a variety of "Custom Critical White Glove Services", for shipping packages that may be very expensive, hazardous, or important. Among these is "Special Care in Handling" service, which uses dedicated vehicles with padding, good suspensions, lift gates, and careful treatment. I have no idea what these options cost, but they do exist: FEDEX CUSTOM CRITICAL WHITE GLOVE SERVICES
  4. For Doh-R: Made the acquaintance today of this cute little Canadian: Luckily, for this job, I'm just a hired gun to get the install done quicker so the plant gets back online. "Not my circus, not my monkeys!"
  5. There's also a reasonably active fan forum: CERWIN-VEGA-FANS.COM FORUM Might be interesting to hear what they have to say.
  6. Yup, Jack! She doubles down to 2R twice from 8R @ 250W. And talk about meter lamps- the thing looks like it's got candelabra base Christmas light bulbs... If you're reading this, Travis, note the meter attenuation selector knobs. Must've been popular in that era.
  7. Wouldn't surprise me if this was all fueled by pencil-pushers on all sides: Somebody at Cerwin-Vega is happy, because they keep making and shipping(replacement) speakers. CV gets market share of grey market through flooding with damaged goods. Somebody at Best Buy is happy, because they keep ordering more speakers. Volume is up, paperwork is flowing. And you keep coming back into the store. Somebody at UPS is happy, because more packages keep moving back and forth. Business as usual, nothing will change, "because UPS". All three of these clowns probably play golf together... Hope s
  8. That would be interesting, as passing the Turing Test is currently a membership requirement... We'd be able to tell if a computer replaced Dom, because it wouldn't be as fast on the draw at providing helpful tutorials!
