  1. My favorite part of all the above is scripted in gold. I just love the Bob-father's signature on any of his stuff, new or vintage. Turbo

  6. @nwlaznik, Welcome to the site! You're gonna love it here and you already know what I'm going to say, but I would jump all over that M-1.5t and M-1.0t if it were me. I repaired my M-1.5t and have been finding my musical nirvana ever since. Great start you've got going on already there and I'm certain you'll be bitten by the OCCD like most here have and will love every second of it. So kick back, relax and hang around with us all for awhile. Turbo
  7. I totally agree, and find myself listening to different genre's due to the quality of available recordings. I really like Jesse Cook's acoustic guitar recording quality as they are all so well done. Also I am finding that the better my system sounds, especially lately with strong Carver gear, the worse the poorly mastered recordings sound even if I really like the artists. Great recordings now really "POP" for me. Mark, you took the words right out of my mouth basically.
  8. Greeting's and salutations Jeff! They're right about that OCCD virus, it gets you but good! Welcome to the site. Turbo
  9. Always enjoyed Sean Connery, but lately I'm leaning more towards Daniel Craig. Craig brought back that much needed hard edge to Bond. And I like it, Bond gets my vote...
  10. I'm really enjoying streaming 24bit/192k from my NAS through my Onkyo into Carver C-1 these days. Just sounds incredible to my ears.
  11. Neal Schon, Beyond Thunder: Cool Breeze https://www.youtube.com%2Fwatch%3Fv%3Dr9PDME7RnbE&usg=AOvVaw3G8qHo-xdySo0uHfvDuTrk
  12. Michael Brecker, Nearness of You: Nascente https://www.youtube.com%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DS7mE0vsYDuw&usg=AOvVaw3LWxlSMFnmdjfdHZjha3VF
  13. Welcome to the site PrIsm! Kick back and stick around awhile. Members here occasionally sell off some of their gear.
  14. Welcome to the site Bevador1! A cap refresh and idle current tune up should have you up and running with clean, clear sound again. Turbo
  15. I like Rare Earth's 70' cover of The Temptation's 66 hit "Get Ready" Turbo
  16. Love Pink Floyd as well. Their Wish You Were Here tribute to Syd Barrett is my Fave from them. I don't recall what it was that drew me to this band, perhaps it was classical infused with rock, and everyone is so enamored with Dust in the Wind from them. But not me, I always loved this tune of theirs most from a year earlier on Leftoverture in 76': Turbo
  17. Wjlaw, Welcome to the site! There are lots of knowledgeable folks here who enjoy Carver gear too. You should find answers here to just about anything needed. Turbo
  18. Love Genesis too! Have most all of their stuff and Phil Collins' solo stuff as well. After my down and out experience in 71', I was riding the school Bus home one day and we had a really cool driver that had a killer stereo in her bus. This was now 72' and she jammed rock and roll mostly on our rides to and from school. I heard the following tune for the first time ever on her bus in 72': You should've seen us kids when she cranked it up for us on our way home on the last day of school that Summer! We went nuts! It was also on her school bus in 73' was the first time I'd ever heard of this, then unknown, band and she jammed it loud for us. All us kids went crazy and they became one of my favorite bands of all time: Turbo
  19. Hashy, It was almost as if the DNS host service went down. I was getting host IP addy not found errors when trying to access the site. It dropped in and out. Not sure, just a guess. Turbo
  20. I was a Freshman in High School when that fabulous Album came out in 76'. I love roller skating to that tune too. Skating was big way back then. My most memorable tune I'd ever hear is when I was still in middle school. I was down and out and had moved so many times, my Dad was in the Air Force. I'll never forget this tune from 71': Turbo
