  1. Bravo and quite forthright. Good on you. Parenting is not for the meek if you give a $&@:;$-. Those Carver components are incredible after refurb and I'm sure you'll be blown away. Wayne is awesome and I'm not sure which Wayne, but they are all awesome.
  2. Welcome back, I have had Silver 9t's for a year and haven't heard them yet. They just got recapped and I'm overdue to pick them up.
  3. In two channel mode it will have trouble unless played low. You would need a sunfire 300X2 or 600X2 or any 400 watt per channel sunfire multiple channel amp running in two channel.
  4. Welcome to the forum Martin. Sure you can stack them, with one concern. If you're running them hard and they're getting hot then you need something to separate them.I use walnut blocks. You can add rubber feet to the blocks. Or you can buy something fancy.
  5. First of all, welcome. Glad to have you at the Carversite. The techy people will be along soon for your questions. Enjoy all things Carver. Perhaps you need some Carver speakers as well??
  6. Welcome, glad to have you aboard. Yes this is a great place for all things Carver. Stick around and enjoy the enthusiasm that is contagious around here.
  7. In my opinion the best Eva Cassidy CD is "live at blues Alley" and the best Diana crawl for me is "live in Paris"
  8. Wow that is perhaps the nicest looking man cave set up I've seen. Those are GR research speakers right? I follow some of Danny's projects over on audio circle. can you please describe the electronics for us drooling fools. Thanks Perry for the nice picture.
  9. It's all about the mood. Which toy depends on the idea of the moment. Cassette, vinyl, CD, iPhone, reel to reel, 8 track, music DVDs, it's all good. Sometimes I want the clicks and pops of a ratty LP. This hobby is @$;/~^%€+{\ (Holes and bumps).
  10. Same good place, looking forward to your input.
  11. Yeah that's a great start. I'm sure you'll get tons of enjoyment. Remember, it's a journey. Your ears will develop along with your musical tastes. Each speaker set will bring it's own strengths and some will have them all. Those amps are really powerful so don't blow up your speakers. Have fun.
  12. Welcome to the forum. Stick around and enjoy all things Carver. A view from the Netherlands will be nice to have here.
  13. Welcome, don't be shy. Describe your system plans if you want. Caution: we are severe enablers. What part of SoCal are you from?
  14. Welcome and glad to have you aboard. Post some pictures.
  15. Welcome on all levels. Anyone can contribute here. All we ask is that you don't say party barn. That is reserved. You need at least 200 posts to play on that level. Wink wink.
  16. Welcome Sean. I cut my audio teeth on those large advents. Keep em forever. Now my carvers blow my mind. Join in on the fun and spend some time with the older threads. Lots of great reading and you will feel comfortable joining the discussions. Cheers, PMAT
