Hi NCAudio951-
Welcome. I have only been on board for a couple weeks and this place is great. There is so much knowledge (way over my head), experience, humor and cleaverness. I especially like it for the entertainment value because of the virus slow down and am also learning by osmosis. So enjoy. This is a wonderful group.
Sorry. Have to do some work. I know, thats no excuse. I would much rather guess album artwork instead. I know the rule but proceed without me for a bit. I will be back, it is fun. That last one looks so familiar but cant pull it!!!
Hi Rob
I joined just a week ago. There are some funny guys around here. You will enjoy it. I have a MXR 2000 that I just brought out of mothballs and enjoying the hell out of it. I even got the sonic holography thing to work. It's a small window of area!!!
Dave Grusin. When I was in college with no money I wondered around the stereo shops and listened to what the guys there were listening to. It seemed to be mostly jazz and fusion stuff that sounded so good to me, being a full on rocker at the time. I got a few cut-out records and was hooked.
Thanks for the welcomes everyone!!!!! Very nice. I already like the cleaver humor. Tried to upload some pics of my old equipment that I am re-starting my listening with. I liked it in 1986 and am still pretty happy with it but I have heard some really good newer gear as well. I assume that my pics were too large so will need to work on that and upload next time.
Hi Everyone-
Stumbled upon the carversite while looking at stereo stuff. I have a Receiver 2000 that I bought new in 1986 along with a DTL-200 CD player. Bought Thiel CS2's with them. Played and enjoyed them all for years then had kids and it all went into storage until a couple years ago. Kids are out of the house and turned my daughters room into my listing room and am back at it with the Receiver 2000, the Thiels and an AT LP5 turntable. I have been busy finding copies of all the vinyl that I used to have and enjoying my old friend Carver again.
