    Nelion is your best bet!  Greg does excellent work!  If you need a local tech,  Just-Audio is one of the last ones in the area.

    Welcome Dave, where in Maryland are you located?  I’m southwest of the city in the Elkridge area. I’m right near the Howard and Baltimore County lines, very close to Anne Arundel County as well.  I’m 5 minutes from BWI.

     

    Soundscape is still in business.  Another shop called Just Audio also does repairs, other cs members have taken equipment to them for repair.
     

    I have several pairs of old Polks, selling the SDA-1Bs.

     

    If buying new CD player, I would probably buy a transport to go to my DAC.  I have a ladder DAC similar to the Denafrips Aries ii.  I have been looking for used Oppo units, prices have gone insane!

    Been a fan since I watched them on Ed Sullivan!  Grew up to their music!  By high school Beatles they were broke up, by that time I had dived head first into a wide variety of music.

    Not seen it yet!  I can’t wait.  I’ve been listening to the box set released last month!  6 disc set!  I am a huge Beatles fan!

    Hmmmm a new rabbit hole!

     

    I can find the extended version of ‘baby shark’  lol NOT!  Let me peruse my vinyl, I do have a few doubles!  I might have a copy of Pink Floyd ‘the wall ‘ I can send your way!

    I know Kingsport well!  I travel to Johnson City annually!  I generally try to plan my trip to coincide with Carverfest, sometimes I come in July for my grandsons birthday!

     

    Enjoy your time here on the carversite!  You can learn a lot.  Be careful, lol, OCCD has a way of infecting you, though it seems your already afflicted!  (Obsessive Carver Collecting Disorder = OCCD)
