I really dig Peter Green.  Something special about his guitarmanship.  (is that a word)  

 

An old retired member Steve Ford turned me on to the Peter Green Splinter Group.

You should listen to his early stuff with John Mayall and The Mac.

 

 Economy of style. Lulls you and strings you along then when you don't realize it he grabs hold of you, picks you up and slams you down then finishes with the sweet stuff.
