I was born with music inside me. Music was one of my parts. Like my ribs, my kidneys, my liver, my heart. Like my blood. It was a force already within me when I arrived on the scene. It was a necessity for me - like food or water.

Ray Charles

When I turn on the radio in this... in 1988, I just don't feel anything off the music anymore,

cause it reminds me of something Woodie Guthrie once said in 1945 :

"I hate a song that makes you feel like you're no good,
I hate a song that makes you feel like you're born to lose,

makes you feel like you're bound to lose..

Makes you feel like you're no-body and you're no good to nobody.

You're too thin or you're too fat, you're too old or you're too young,

you're too this or you're too that.."

Song: Rescue Me (Live Boston Wang Centre, 1988)’ [8:35] (MacDonals/Peters)

Artist: The Alarm

In this political climate, both sides are guilty, and all either side has is we're not as bad as the other guys.

Both are wrong.

The attention span of a computer is only as long as it's power cord!

- Unknown

Nothing is ever as easy as it seems at first,

or as impossible as it seems in the middle,

or as finished as it seems in the end.

THE MORE LOVING ONE

Looking up at the stars, I know quite well
That, for all they care, I can go to hell,
But on earth indifference is the least
We have to dread from man or beast.
How should we like it were stars to burn
With a passion for us we could not return?
If equal affection cannot be,
Let the more loving one be me.
Admirer as I think I am
Of stars that do not give a damn,
I cannot, now I see them, say
I missed one terribly all day.
Were all stars to disappear or die,
I should learn to look at an empty sky
And feel its total dark sublime,
Though this might take me a little time.

W.H. Auden
