SOLD: Fully restored Carver TFM-24 Amp

Recommended Posts

This amp is in excellent sonic condition. Recently overhauled by Rolland Barr at Carver Audio Repair in Oregon. What Rolland did with this amp is wonderful. Sounds Amazing - tight bass, clear clean highs, articulate mids. The face plate is a little rough. I am only selling because I need to downsize.
Demos welcome to locals in the area.

Can the more knowledgeable members here chime in about this amp?  This is the first time I've seen this one pop up.

It's a TFM-25 with LED's instead of the analog meters.

Always wondered where the "2-ohm dynamic power/ch 750 W" figure came from, since it says right in the manual to not run it under 4 ohms on each channel. Not randomly busting balls, I have owned a TFM-24 since 1995.

In my experience discrepancies like that are a sign that the engineers and the lawyers may be having trouble getting along.

Ok-so I guess my question is, is the amp 2 ohm stable (per channel) or not?

That TFM-22 look pretty good, but it may need servicing?
Good luck in your search!
