I thought there was a generic Tracking Downconverter schematic on the old website.  Specifically I'm looking for the standby circuit diagram.

Is this what you are thinking of:  Sunfire Downconverter.pdf

I also have sunfire-7ch-amp-downconverter-schematic-653-131-00-rev-b.pdf and sunfire-receiver-downconverter-schematics-653-112-00-rev-c2.pdf

p.s. When I left click on Sunfire Super Junior schematics it opens the file AND downloads the PDF file to my hard drive.

Hi, I would like to have the schematics for my Sunfire 300x2.
I owned 2 of those 5 years ago but had to sell them.

Now I got hold of 1 again and notice that it is different internally than my previous one.

Some cabling (signal cabling to the converter board, I think) is not present in my latest version and quite a few resistors are not populated on that board.

I have also only 4 low voltage cables (wires). There were 6 of them in my previous amp.

Were there some big revision during production?

Maybe I should start a new thread?

Still, I would love to have the schematics.

Cheers from Sweden!

Hello Jerker L,

We don't have many Sunfire schematics, and what we do have can be found here:

https://thecarversite.com/carvermanuals/

There are 3 tabs at the bottom of the box. The rightmost one is Sunfire.

Welcome to C!. We're glad you're here.

I really much appreciate it!
Thank you!
I'll start a separate thread about the difference between my previous Sunfire 300 and my current Sunfire 300.

Cheers from Sweden and may you have a Merry Christmas soon. :)

Could someone please help me locate a TGA-7400 schematic?

I found the manual at manualslib.com , no luck on a schematic.

https://www.manualslib.com/download/166635/Sunfire-Tga-7200.html

You'll probably have to deal with a captcha.

Hello JTM745i, and welcome to thecarversite.com . We're glad you're hear. ;)

I believe this is the link you seek:

https://thecarversite.com/carvermanuals/

The page should have a spreadsheet box, and there will be a tab on the bottom of the box labeled Sunfire. Click on that tab, and you'll see what Sunfire documents we have here.

Once you get to Novice status, please consider uploading some pics of your gear in the Members Systems area. We all like pics of all kinds of audio gear.

In the meantime, kick your shoes off, turn up the music, and welcome aboard.

Welcome to the site.

As you have discovered, the Sunfire schematics available here are a bit sparse.  Further, I don't believe there are any service manuals for the Sunfire equipment like the Carver gear.

From your post, it sounds like you are looking for schematics for the Ultimate Receiver.  The schematics available in the Receiver schematics may help.  The best way to approach it would be to open up your receiver, note the part numbers of the boards inside and try to match them against the available schematics.

It a bit of a puzzle.  Many part number are shared across models.  Many of the schematics may not be a perfect match, but will be close enough for troubleshooting.

Although our collection of Sunfire Schematics is incomplete, it is the best publicly available library I'm aware of.

What sort of problems are you having with your receiver?

WRF,

First and formost thank you Very kindly, Love learning from other Carver people.

A.) Problem, Volume at 0db is Equel to-20 / -25 dB all across the board at all inputs.

B.) Opened the Unit there is a CPU fan but do not know if that only turns on under load like the older Techice receivers and if it could have a saftey build in if the fan is shot.

It is a 12V DC fan measure when starting up the unit but no voltage.

 Caps at Power supply C17 & C18

seem questionable, plastic ends are a little bulged.

Measure them with my Signstek MESR-100 V2 seems to be good, but flux all over.

Sorry for the lengthy reply.
