Is CarverAudio officially dead?

Recommended Posts

I’ve been pulling the other site up weekly for the past couple months, hoping to see some more Carverfest photos, but have repeatedly gotten the “board is currently unavailable” message.  Now today it’s the white screen “404 page not found” message...

If CarverAudio is dead, what does that mean for the future of Carverfest?

It seems to be dying a natural death. The post count was ridiculously low. It’s very nice that the information will be saved though.

James and I are talking about options. One way or another, the history of the site will be preserved, but I don't know about the fate of the forum itself.

In addition to the data, at a minimum, for ~$5 a year, owning the domain, and setting it to redirect to TheCarverSite.com, might be a good thing to do as SEO will continue for a few years, have latent links to the home page...  (E.g., all/many of the references to there from other Audio sites, such as AK, et. al.,)

Since the domain name now (or very soon now) seems to be unowned, it could be picked up.
