Community Admin Sk1Bum 8,080 Posted April 18, 2020 Community Admin Share Posted April 18, 2020 I've been trying to change the cover photo on Saturdays, and I've been giving stickers for being the first to identify the cover photo in the chat box. Not everyone uses the chat box, so I thought I'd start a thread. Be the first to identify the artists in the cover photo each week, and get a sticker. So far, I've given gold stars, cookies, and cigars. I may come up with others. This week's first did so in a PM, but Charlie was the first in the chat box. If ya wanna play, here's where to do be the first. Good luck, and I'll try not to make it too hard. 1

Buck115 129
Well, if you want to make the contest a little more difficult, you might consider changing the link that appears when you mouse over the image; the artist, artists, or group's names are usually part of the link. 😲🤣 2

When I save the photos to my hard drive, I name them so I will remember who they are. If this is gonna be a contest of sorts, then I'll have to remember to change the filename to 001.jpg 1

compwaco 969
This looks like Laura Branigan. Self Control was a great tune... 1

Daddyjt 5,689
Of all the other cover versions, and even the original, I think Laura nailed “Forever Young” better than anyone. 2

Nahash5150 7,476
Self Control is still played regularly on mainstream radio. That song is quintessential 80's in so many ways. It's also an incredible vocal performance.

Brian_at_HHH 1,866
@Sk1Bum, if that was you, who put up the pic - my compliments on the selective colouring on it. Very nicely done. The B&W on all the others has suited the site page perfectly, but this is one case where the addition of the one touch of colour just worked perfectly. Good show!

Turbo 1,342
That would be a very beautiful, young Kate Bush for this morning's photo! She was discovered by none other than David Gilmour of Pink Floyd fame... 1

Brian_at_HHH 1,866
Greg, just remember to stay out of the Mezcal when you are playing with the tube amps. You probably don't notice the solid state voltages any more, but tube power can give you more than a buzz.

With Greg being well grounded...
