Is faster-than-light travel possible?

I would think one ride on your Ninja would convince anyone that faster than light is possible. :D

That could be true; it's faster than blue lights as it is.... :--D

Never heard of Ridiculous Speed huh? Then we can't even discuss Ludicrous Speed.

I've been told that's how fast I can shower, dress, and get out the door after ...   :D

At least you didn't include "DURING"...   :)

Einstein said that nothing can travel faster than the speed of light. You have probably heard something like that. But is this really correct?

That lady is a trip.... here's another of her videos (yes, it's the same woman):

A good example of headline manipulation; start with a falsehood that most people can agree on (that Einstein says you can't), then pretend to be teaching them something the've heard since grade school, but have probably forgotten.

Pandering to expectation bias; It's not just for politics

Einstein only postulates light has the same speed c in all rest frames, and laws of physics are same in all rest frames.

I don't believe in FTL either.  However without it, there would be no sci-fi movies.

Everything travels at the speed of light. It's only relative.

It seems that most people (after they have learned otherwise), forget that c doesn't stand for the speed of light, it stands for causality.

Imagine two Non causally associated particles (or portions of the inflaton field if that's the way you roll) at either side of the nascent universe.  If the big bang happened very roughly 14 billion light years ago, the edges are now very roughly 28 billion light years apart, so the one particle has been traveling twice the speed of light relative to the other.  2c= FTL.

More locally (and a bit of a cheat) is Cherenkov radiation (/tʃəˈrɛŋkɒf/; Russian: Черенков) is electromagnetic radiation emitted when a charged particle (such as an electron) passes through a dielectric medium at a speed greater than the phase velocity of light in that medium, which happens all the time and also is FTL.

Wow!
