They definitely sound good but like you said, can’t handle that much power. My V15E’s Cerwin Vega’s actually handled up to 3 o’clock on the volume. That was just incredible. Only about 1 o’clock on the Polk’s.

We learned last night that they handle way beyond 3 o'clock. The 4.0 was most impressive, a complete powerhouse. As much as it saddens me to say, I think Rob has regained the throne for best sounding amp in the greater Lansing area... slightly 😎

The M1.0 mkII opt002 vs the M4.0t is an epic battle. :D

I guess there's alot of truth to that! I just fired up mine and after listening to it for a bit I'm not so sure there is a clear winner, I absolutely love the way this M1.0T mkll opt002 sounds. Then again, Rob and I  are running different speakers designed for different purposes. At the end of the day I guess it comes down to personal preference. The 4.0 is slightly more powerful while I feel the 1.0 is a little more bass heavy, but that might "circle back"😂 to the different speakers

I can agree with the difference in speakers but there was one thing we had to do to be able to push the 4.0 and that was turning the bass all the way down. Did you do that with your 150's?  Lets hook those 150's up to the 4.0. 😉

Nope. I usually keep the bass, mid , and treble at 0 or 12 o'clock position

I think we're all wondering now if our fearless leader will be pushing the M4.0t to opt 002 status? I know I am.

How about it Greg? Are you ready to outdo yourself?

Pretty sweet looking amp Rob!  That thing looks CLEAN!!!

I don’t know if I got the first or maybe first-ish TFM45 MKII that I picked up back in January.  It is killing me not to have run it yet as my house has been under heavy construction.  I’m getting there though … can’t wait to get everything back up and get some tunes rolling!

Its been a year since I got the 4.0 from Greg and everything has been great. The sound, the power,  and the ability to listen at any level with such clarity.

Thanks again @Nahash5150for a very dependable and powerful unit. |-|

Curious how you like the imaging of the Polk SDS speakers vs the CV's. The Polks do what Bob Carver did with his Sonic Holigraphy, but in speakers instead of electronics.
