Hello From Wisconsin

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I'm a lifetime lover of Carver gear and have owned many pieces of gear over the last 35 years.
I'm an electrical engineer by trade and these days mostly write software to support hardware design on high speed router asics and the latest DDR memories.

Hello JayGilb, and welcome to thecarversite.com. We're glad you're hear. ;) There is a lot of information here, much technical know how, and a pretty good bunch of folks that are happy to help.

There are many of us here that have owned Carver gear for decades. You should fit right in!

Once you get to Novice status, please consider uploading some pics of your gear in the Members Systems area. We all like pics of all kinds of audio gear.

In the meantime, kick your shoes off, turn up the music, and welcome aboard.

Welcome to the site @JayGilb!  Sounds like you'll fit in, here, perfectly!  Though your work engineering is likely a wee bit at odds with the analog world in your Carver gear.  Could be an "interesting" marriage, though?!  :D

Welcome to the site, @JayGilb.  A lot of regulars, and semi-regulars here as members,

Hoping you become a long-term / life-time regular, and get old with us telling stories and lies.

Great bunch of folks here - all have one thing in common..., OCCD..., Obsessive Carver Collecting Disorder.

..., Oh, and we LOVE pictures of systems..., please post a picture of your gear when you can.

BTW, where do you hail from in Wisconsin?  I'm just south of the border in IL.   A few of us live in Wisconsin.

WELCOME !

Thanks for the welcome. Nothing is at odds, I just design equipment that is always clipping. We like to go into saturation as fast as possible. :)
