Hey there from Alberta Canada

Recommended Posts

thanks for letting me join. I am a newbie to be honest with you , have enjoyed carver gear since i was young and playing in bands using carver amps and the like. I now have bought myself some carver gear for my home but really not certain how to integrate some of the older tech with the newer teck, so i guess thats why i am here.  If you can point me to the right section that would be great, thanks again.

Mike

welcome to the site, @mjb112, glad you found us.

Lots of threads on integrating lots of varieties of gear, here..., the SEARCH function is pretty powerful, and offers Boolean operators to help you narrow down your search.

However, it's an art, AND the permutations are endless, in this hobby.  Share a little about your system, components, and what you are trying to assemble, and there may be some wisdom from a member that can help directly.  Do this by starting a new thread in a category that is close to what you are doing..., Amps, Pre's, AV's, Processors, etc.   The site is pretty well organized.

And, we LOVE pictures..., as a newbie, you need a few more folks to "like" or "thank" react to your posts and the ability to upload pictures will present itself...

Welcome again, and Glad you found us!!

Hello mjb112, and welcome to thecarversite.com. We're glad you're hear. ;) There is a lot of information here, much technical know how, and a pretty good bunch of folks that are happy to help.

Like Andrew said, let us know a few more details about what you're trying to accomplish. Most likely, someone will be able to help you get your system up and going to your liking.

Once you get to Novice status, please consider uploading some pics of your gear in the Members Systems area. We all like pics of all kinds of audio gear.

In the meantime, kick your shoes off, turn up the music, and welcome aboard.

Wow thanks for the warm invite, did not expect that.  keep in mind i am new so the gear i have at the moment is a Carver TFM 25 and Carver C-1 pre-amp, but i also want to run this amp with an ARCAM AVP 700. At the moment i will run them through two Polk Audio RTi 10 speakers , i am also running a 10" polk audio powered sub , i guess thats it for now, maybe not great but sure looks nice, i would also like to get it running at least 5 channel speakers i run towers, center and sub up front and 3 small speakers book shelf like on the wall behind me.

cheers

Welcome to the site @mjb112!  Nice to have another fellow from North of the '49th here!  There are a few of us holding off the hoards from the south, as well as others from around the globe.

Let us know what you have in the way of a setup, and don't worry if it's too much or too little.  You like Carver, so things can only be good!  :)
