bobpep 11
Hi, Having recently joined this amazing Carver site and after familiarizing myself with its content, I would like to thank all who have worked so hard in developing and maintaining it. It's really a great reference site for all things Carver! I just purchased a M500 amp ( my first anything Carver ) and have started to work on bringing it back to life, and look forward to everyone's help in doing so. Completed a four year course in "Technical Electronics" in high school followed by a degree in Electrical Engineering. Retired after 40+ years in the Power Industry and, I'm loving every minute of my retirement. Love listening to all sorts of music, and have been fortunate enough to attend many live shows. But like most everyone else on this website, I love working on all sorts of audio gear. Best Regards, Bob
Sk1Bum 9,865
Hello bobpep, and welcome to thecarversite.com. We're glad you're hear. There is a lot of information here, much technical know how, and a pretty good bunch of folks that are happy to help. With your electronics background, I'm sure you'll fit right in. Once you get to Novice status, please consider uploading some pics of your gear in the Members Systems area. We all like pics of all kinds of audio gear. In the meantime, kick your shoes off, turn up the music, and welcome aboard.

2chGearBuff 344
Welcome aboard. Always find the rebuild threads to be some of the most interesting. Gives me a sanity check sometimes when I am working on something and I get stuck. I get to see that I am not the only one that has this happen! And that includes a lot of great members that have way more knowledge than I do! I love to see them apply their knowledge, share with others, and accept advise from anyone that feels like they can help! Great group you have latched onto! Enjoy. Brian_at_HHH 2,609
Welcome to the group, and congrats on your retirement! I will admit I'm jealous of that (about 4-5 years, yet for me ... maybe ...). Glad you decided to join in the fun! I hope you have a great time working on that M500 and enjoying listening to it when you've got it purring away nicely!
