@BobTFM35 has been at it again.  He contributed a Sunfire Subrosa Installation Manual and a Phase Linear 8000 Turntable Service Manual.  Both fairy rare.

They are now available in the Manuals data base.

Thanks Bob!!

I have a couple of manuals for some Carver programmable remotes that I recently acquired from @AndrewJohnthat can be uploaded somewhere. I need to photo them and organize them first. Probably do that this weekend.

Folks have been busy gathering manuals.  @BobTFM35 and @Will Meyer have both contributed manuals.  I've also found a few lurking in dark corners of the server, hidden from view.

Here's a list of what's been added.

I'll continue looking in the odd folder for more treasures.  If you sent me something that's not on this list (an not in documents area), let me know.  It may have somehow escaped my dragnet.

I noticed in the manual section there is a preliminary manual - Carver C-9 Sonic Hologram Generator Preliminary Owner Manual.PDF.  I have the Preliminary Owner Manual for the C-4000 and noticed it wasn't listed.  Is it something of interest for the group?  Is it something that is a must have for Carver manual collectors?  If anyone is interested I could probably upload it although I don't think I have been on the site long enough to have privileges to upload a .pdf.

This is just awesome guys. Customers call the factory looking for this type of info.. The Carver Site is the go-to resource for helping people find info on vintage products. Warm thanks to the management and members past and present. Thanks Bob, Will, Wayne, RichP, Nahash, DennisMiller and everyone who has contributed to this beautiful resource over many years. It helps a lot of people keep their vintage Carver designs running, so they can continue to enjoy the music.|-|=D=

PS @MRHP hope you still have that great looking PL TT.

It's been quite a while since I've been on the site. Been very busy in the Machine Shop buy yes, I  still have the PL turn table. It's the best sounding TT I have!

So, I have tried to scan these manuals as docs, PDF's, photos, and even tried to compress them and they are still to large of a file to upload here.

I am using a MAC to do all this. Any ideas from you guys to make them a smaller file?

Thanks to @BobTFM35 and @mddawson I've posted a fascinating  Audio Magazine interview with Bob  in the "manuals" database.  New category of stuff too.  Look for it under the Bob Carver File Cabinet.

In addition, I woke up one morning and a pristine PDF schematic for the Tracking Down Converter board in an early 300x2 Sunfire amp had fallen out of the sky onto my desk.  Look for it as the last item in the Sunfire schematics section.

I'll keep an eye out for more.

If it is a D or E size sheet (large format) I found going to Kinko's and using their scanners, and their support (sometimes sketchy) can get a legible file at reasonable size from a large format schematic.

If it's a multi-page document, all letter-size paper, my trick has been to keep the resolution high, but break it up into "<filename> Part 1," "<filename> Part 2," ... "<filename> Part n."  You can do this by scanning the parts separately, or use Adobe Acrobat (if you have a license) to edit and split up the file into parts using the Adobe tools.   Note of Caution..., I have never found any of the freeware/shareware tools all over the internet that "say" they can edit PDF files, to do so, without damaging them, often undetectably, but always un-repair-ably.  Hence, I reference Adobe's Acrobat tools since they originally defined and own the proprietary copyrighted format of the very complex PDF format.  FWIW, to those that know Acrobat and PDF..., I kept my now-years-old Acrobat Version 9 on my system (and the install CD)..., because I never wanted to go to the online/cloud-based version of Acrobat.  It has worked flawlessly, even on Win10 and Win11.

...just my suggestion based on what I read.

This is just awesome! What a great way to focus Carver history into a place for all to enjoy. I have a file cabinet and a closet of paperwork to look through today. Tons of Carver but little Sunfire at first glance. I'll see what we can find.

I submitted a manual with pics for Root beer 180 Vacuum tube mono amps but can't seem to find it anymore and it's not under tube amps section for manuals.  Submitted this through Dennis Miller a while ago. Anybody know if its still in database?
