dan johnson 13
Hello Carver friends. I am wondering if someone can identity or confirm who out there is doing the VERY BEST ALS ribbon repair these days? I bought my pair in 1989, and just wanted to have a contact for who is doing this repair whenever I hear that first BUZZ in the ribbon. Thanks for responding. dan in PA.... still using my M1.0t amp MK II modded) and old C1 pre.
Packratt 353
Only guy to go to is @seaOn this forum This is not a knock on sea. He does good work and literally is the only person with the materials and experience to do it. I believe the ribbon is slightly heavier than oem due to the oem material being unavailable but no major change in performance.
