tpoppa 21
It's time for me to downsize possessions. I've decided to part with my Carver/NHT stereo equipment. I have no idea what this stuff is worth these days. Any insight is appreciated. Everything is in excellent cosmetic condition, and works as expected. The amp has not been recapped, and sounds really good to my ears. I don't think it needs it. They've had a pretty easy life. I used to sell Carver equipment in the 90s. They've always been stored in a cabinet with no exposure to smoke, moisture, and minimal dust. What kind of value does this stuff have today...in well above average condition? I really don't want to ship and risk damaging. To facilitate a sale, I would drive an hour or two. I am in Ohio if anyone cares 😄 I can post pictures. Carver CT-27v - I've owned since new, still have box, remote and manual. Prefer to sell this with the amp, and not separate them. Carver TFM-25 - I've owned since new, lost the box in a move. Carver SD/A-360 - I've owned since new, still have box, remote and manual. The drive belt was replaced 4 or 5 years ago. NHT 2.5i - bought used, still sound excellent, really good shape, with a just chip or 2.
ChrisTFM35 293
It looks like you have some good stuff for sale. Shipping wouldn't be too difficult.
AndrewJohn 6,259
Nice gear. The NHT 2.5i's are awesome. I have a pair. I picked them up for $350 a short drive north of me, in Wisconsin, outside of Beloit. If that's any reference on price of 3 years ago. There are two pairs on Ebay, right now. Listed at Buy-It-Now for $499, one is local pickup, the other is $150 for shipping. Hope that helps. These speakers are simply awesome.

I have always enjoyed the sound of NHT speakers. And appreciate their high quality rubber surrounds that stand up to the test of time
tpoppa 21
I've seen some pretty high "asking prices" on ebay. Not sure if people are actually paying that much...like $500+ for a TFM-15? Seems high to me, but I haven't paid attention in a while. More than getting top dollar, I would like to see this equipment go to someone who will appreciate it. I would probably get more selling individually, but it would be easier to sell all together. Is $1,000-$1,200 fair for this entire package? The 3 Carver components are near mint, and a few nicks on the NHTs. (Includes some nice "Straightwire" rca cables and a decent addon Bluetooth receiver) Carver CT-27v - I've owned since new, still have box, remote and manual. Ar9Jim 3,837
Seems fair to me. That would be a nice sounding system for the money.

BarryG 2,838
I have recently been introduced to younger men early 20s who heard good stereo finally. I been trying to get younger folks involved in this hobby. Rather than sell for making a lot of money I sell to them so they maximize their joy from their audio. It’s great to see their faces glow, especially their first sonic holography experience! Good Luck with your sale! Barry
