The Carver Site T-Shirts, Coffee Mugs/Tumblers and Baseball Caps

Back a few years, now. @RichP714 offered The Carver Site branded T-shirts and Coffee Mugs.  I don't have one of the coffee mugs, but I do have one of the T-shirts.

In the interest of generating community, fellowship and belonging for members of this Carver Audio website, really now an institution as it is now well into its second decade, I'd like to do that again.  But first I'd like to ensure that there's enough interest among members.

I'm going to follow the playbook that Ed Adkins followed in the past for CarverFest logo gear and use a post.   Tell me what you think.  this topic is wide open for suggestions.

To be sure, I'm not taking orders - yet.  I'll do all the legwork to get orders in, sizes, confirmations, etc.  And do the shipping.

Right now, I want to learn what the level of interest is so I can begin to forecast volume.  We'll figure out how to take orders if the interest is there.  I've also posed this question over on our CarverSite Facebook Group Page, to increase potential volume, and lower cost.

In the end, since this is a volunteer-managed and member-funded website, we will not make a profit on T-shirt sales.  It will just be a way to generate community and for you to show at your audio events your membership in this affinity group - or you can mow the lawn in it! 😉

Just reply that you are interested, and what item, a T-shirt, a coffee mug/tumbler, and/or a Baseball Cap.  If you change your mind later, that's ok, and understandable.

Here's what RichP's last T-shirt looked like - sorry it's wrinkled - I took it out of the drawer for pictures this morning:

I'd be interested in shirts and mugs!

Also, I'd wonder if anyone is interested in stickers?... My wife runs a business printing custom stickers and signs.  She can make a variety of sizes (on paper or vinyl, laminated, etc.) and can use custom art.   I've been photoshopping some Carver logo ideas for her to make me a sticker.  Here's an example (see if you can spot the difference to the production labeling on the m1.5t amp).

.......I will bring some sample stickers to Carverfest.

Looks excellent!

There's a TON of interest on the CarverSite FB group, too (some are members here, others not).

I'm going to figure out how to do this in a sustainable way for the long-term and make this offer legendary, or at least as good as the last run @RichP714 did years ago.

PLEASE keep posting your interest.

@Kurt, let's chat more on the stickers - those would be cool to collaborate on for a wider offering of some kind.  (And to throw some business your wife's way.

Well, the interest is high, so I've got to figure out how to pull all this together.  I've got some experience in doing this when we did project logo-wear for High Tech projects when I was in Silicon Valley..., but things are probably even better now.  I'm collaborating with Wayne @wrf, and have a feeler out to Ed @sea to examine how he does it for CarverFest logo wear...,

We'll pull this off in spectacular form!

FWIW, here's what showed up on the CarverSite FB group (the daughter FB group to this parent website that @RichP714 set up as a social media outreach for www.TheCarverSite.com. 😉   90 responses showing interest.  One comment from someone who just said "NO"..., (sheesh, if you don't want anything, don't vote!)

I'll try to get this going in the next couple of weeks or so - got some end-of-summer things to do with family - but will get this done!

Are we limited to the shirt designs shown or some new designs in the works? I would suggest maybe new designs also for the coffee cups……grin

No, not limited, but we also need to narrow it down.

Defiinitely interested in shirts, mugs, coasters and what not.  I see stuff on ePray all the time, but would rather buy it from somewhere that I know is truly affiliated with our beloved community!

I liked the original shirts so much that I wore out the two I had years ago. I would be interested in buying at least two shirts. Maybe more if they were offered in black as well as gray.

Thanks for thinking of this.

@AndrewJohn

I have drawers of unworn traditional cotton t shirts. Including Carver related ones.
I just find them to be unflattering and uncomfortable.

Have you considered A4 Moisture Wicking T-Shirts or similar?

@itchitch reminds me I should post an update.

In 2023, the way to do shirts (and other logo gear), is to work with a vendor that can provide quality against requirements - just like any other supplier) AND handle ordering and fulfilment.   The "amazon approach" has infiltrated this industry - to our advantage.

Yes, I am lazy, and also don't want to do all that headache/work.  Actually, I just don't have the time for taking orders, and fulfilling/mailing, and likely will make more mistakes.   I'm also anticipating that our daughter Facebook Group will increase the demand - as I ran the same survey there, and the results showing demand were orders-of-magnitude greater than the regulars, here on the parent site.  There is also another "partnership" opportunity that I'm not ready to share yet, to make this even better for everyone - fingers crossed on that one.

I'm still at the early stages of the research effort to vet vendors..., so it's not happening tomorrow (yes, I'm setting timing expectations).  I would expect later in the year to get this all set up, and my goal is to do it without any overhead cost - just a margin on any shirts (or logo gear) produced on-demand and delivered.

To your question, Steve, I too dislike the standard slap an image on a crappy cotton Hanes "beefy t-shirt" that is really just an undershirt, designed to be "covered up."   Something a bit more flattering since there's been a "men's t-shirt renaissance" in the last decade to produce better looking, better fitting, and more flattering t-shirts for guys like us.   I can't make promises, yet, but am doing my best based on the estimated volume and vendor programs that exist.

Stay Tuned.
