sea 664 Posted January 11, 2024 Posted January 11, 2024 (edited) Please use this thread to request cabins and ask general questions about reservations, etc. I have listed last year's attendee that will have dibbs. Please let me know as soon as possible if you intend to repeat in your cabin. Edited January 11, 2024 by sea
Kurt 2,306 Posted January 14, 2024 Posted January 14, 2024 Hi Ed, yes, I do expect to return and thank you for reserving Treehouse C for me. My current expectation is that we will be there for the final weekend, at least, as we were last year. So, likely a Wed 11th through Sunday 18th stay. But, we may stay longer.... all depends on my work schedule. Mark me for those days, and if anyone else is trying to get in, Treehouse C can be available before/after 11-15th. Thanks for all you do to organize this.
SteveK 89 Posted February 1, 2024 Posted February 1, 2024 Hi, I would like to request a Treehouse for the full 14 days. TIA, Steve

sea 664 Posted February 2, 2024 Author Posted February 2, 2024 We are pretty full at this point, if everyone follows through. I am working on rates with the owners. We did not have an increase last year. The rates were the same for two straight years. My initial conversations are pointing towards about a 5%. I will finalize soon and post a new copy of the calculator. On another note....I spoke to Peggy and Bob Carver a few days ago. She was very adamant that they would be there this year. I hope they follow through.
sea 664 Posted March 16, 2024 Author Posted March 16, 2024 I had a message that BrianT and Patricia will not be able to attend. I have removed them from the Tree Houses and added SteveK. We are sorry that Brain and Patricia are not going to make it but very glad that SteveK is returning.

We are sorry that we will not be returning this year, lets see what happens in 2025 Flight cost alone 2K for 2 people (used to be less than $800.00), plus car rental, around 10hrs travel time, with the layovers, before we get to Watershed, its 3K, flight cost to Portugal 3.2K business flights for 2 people. Going miss out on the fun. Hope to make it 2025. Brian & Pat.
sea 664 Posted March 21, 2024 Author Posted March 21, 2024 SteveK has had to back out and will not attend. This opens up a tree house.

It was a different Steve and I got confused. Thankfully the real SteveK alerted me to my error, and I am correcting. So glad SteveK is still coming.

straylight 394 Posted April 17, 2024 Posted April 17, 2024 Hi Ed, Kirk and Russ and spouses planning to attend (cabin 11). Called Chelsea for reservation dates but she was out of the office today. Will update when I hear back from her.
sea 664 Posted May 28, 2024 Author Posted May 28, 2024 Sadly RobertR has decided that he will not attend this year. This makes Cabin 2 available. This is a 2 bedroom cabin that is very nice and affordable. The full 14 day stay with our discounts is $2200 and a 7 day stay is about $1450. This is a link to the Cabin 2 details....Watershed 02 | Bryson City, NC | Stonewood Cabins
sea 664 Posted August 6, 2024 Author Posted August 6, 2024 Good Morning All, It is almost exactly one month to the official start of CF2024. Due to various circumstances, we have a few cabin openings, Cabins 2, 6, 10 and Treehouse C are not rented. These have been recently released back to Stonewood to rent to the general public. If anyone has a last-minute interest in attending, you should act quickly. Here is the current slate as I know it. People are arriving at various times. Cabin 1 Doug Cabin 7 Jerry and Niki Cabin 8 Ed, Randi, Eric and Lori Ann Cabin 9 Martin and Charlie Cabin 11 Kirk, Darlene, Russ and Pat TH A Greg and Jenny TH B Bob and Carol TH D Steve Lofts Don, Terri, Tammy, Bob Carver, and Peggy We are so pleased that Bob is still slated to attend. Last I heard Ray and his family were at attend for several days but are staying somewhere off-site. Unless something changes (and I hope it does) long time attenders RobertR, Harry, Carolee and Mark will not be able to attend. We will certainly miss them. Cabin will host a meal for all including The Stonewood staff on Sunday Evening, Sept 8. The menu will be a little different this year. Stonewood will host us, for the fifth year in a row, on Saturday evening, Sept 14. Look forward to seeing all of you soon, Ed
Kurt 2,306 Posted August 6, 2024 Posted August 6, 2024 Ed, I just booked for 3 nights Th-Sunday, 9/12-15th. Looks like Treehouse A was open on those days, so I took that since parking is closer to the door, and I'm gonna bring a RAM285 and a big pair of speakers with me. (Let me know if that's ok.... I'll be glad to switch it back to Treehouse C like last year.... it's just that it has a long stone walkway to navigate.) Not sure yet if it's just me or if my wife Beth will also be with me, like last year.

Just be aware that unless all four Treehouses are occupied by CF people, music must be kept to a low volume. 1
