RudyB 7 Posted October 18 Posted October 18 I'm trying to keep my old Carver equipment alive and found this site. Over the years, I have replaced all my Heathkit equipment with Carver. The only Heathkit equipment remaining is the 19" rack in which everything is mounted. I found a CT-28v on eBay to replace my CT-17 which developed a hum (another bad capacitor, I guess). When I acquired this CT-17 it was cheap and "for parts only". I was able to revive it by replacing lots of caps in the power supply. At some point you have to decide whether the amount of time spent on fixing things is worth the cost. The amp is a Carver M-1.5t My Home Theater has two AV-806X amps. One channel went out. I found a replacement board on eBay, however the board is not exactly the same. Did some research online. Hence, my introduction to this site! 7
