I'm not shy about drilling holes in things but I rarely mess around with faceplates.

Blues Pwr PM'd me a link to this Technical Pro DB-PB30 LED display and power strip ($67.99 w/FREE SHIPPING)

Available without the outlets as the Technical Pro DB-B29 ($56.95 with FREE SHIPPING)

Or my favorite, the dB-PS30 with silver faceplate, 8 outlets and surge protection ($85 with FREE SHIPPING).

More versions and details are listed on Technical Pro's WEB SITE.

LOL!

That would be awesome. I'll have to get that board that Rod suggested (or something like it) and test it before we do any drilling.  ;)

Why don't we throw in a chrome toggle switch for the on/off? Now that'd be pimp.

LOL! Funny one on the toggle switch  face20.gif If you think it can be done when you get the VU meter, say the word. I don't mind going where no one has gone before with this amp. Im in no hurry to get it back, so lets have some fun. Maybe when its all said and done you'll probably own that M-4.0t outright for all the work and parts.  happy0009.gif

Sorry, I would have been sold but that despicable music ruined it for me. Especially when this guy sarted bobbing his head...

Seriously, they're cool. But maybe a little too pimp for vintage audio.  :)

That's why I keep the sound on Youtube muted until I actually want to hear what's going on.  Far too often the they are playing some lame crap nobody wants to hear.

  • 2 weeks later...
Finally got the stud finder to isolate the maze of 2x4's running vertical and horizontal in the wall there last night. Main tub/shower is behind that wall. Short run at an angle did the trick for the speaker cables on the Sunfires. Remember, the cables were hanging before? Had to badge the cabinet too, now its an official Carver cabinet. happy0009.gif

Thanks Guys! Dom, what do with it.... happy0009.gif Probably sand and paint. Wife is happy she doesn't see them anymore. They have only been hanging there for about 4 months or so. happy0009.gif

Those Infinities remind me a lot of a more polished version of the ancient Phase Linear speakers.
How do they sound?

Honestly? Its really hard to describe in words besides saying they are one hell of a speaker to amplify. The reproduction of the sound is kinda scary. Balanced, dynamic and life like are words that could help describe them. Had the Kappa 8's in high school, the 9's sound way better when amplified properly. That was quite a challenge for me, but glad thats over. emwink.gif Thanks to the help of you guys of course.

I was thinking of a cheap quickie cover up like a pipe flange or split flange.

Congratulations Gene,

I'm so happy to see this turned out so beautimous! I'm all broke up about the delay in my trip to witness this set up in action and hear it for myself. A really nice touch putting a Carver badge on the new cabinet (you are soooo ate up with OCCD).  msp_thumbup.gif

Thanks Steve! No worries, you'll see it soon enough. Should be a little warmer out here by the time you roll through.
