How to place your pin:

Open the member map

Click anywhere in the map (another map will pop up)

Enter your address in the search bar (don't worry, it won't show on the map; if you want you can use a nearby location)

The map will zoom to the searched location, and a 'place pin' dialog will open.
Enter your information, and click 'place'

I opened the new map, put a pin in as directed.  However, it looks like I'm in Mexico, along with someone else who's in the Gulf of California!  Not in the US....maybe that's just an apparent misplaced pin?

Reese, your pin looks smack dab in the middle of New Mexico; do you need it moved?  The one in California shows up IN conus to me (if I zoom in) is it wrong on your screen?

The pins look like hot air balloons -- I thought the pointed end was where the member's location was -- seems maybe the rounded "head" of the balloon with the black dot is where I am....in any case, holding the cursor over a balloon gives the member's name and actual location name -- so it's all good, I guess.  Thanks for bearing with me!  LOL

The pointed end (the bottom) is where the pin is 'pointing'; when you first placed the pin, the dialog box looked like a word baloon (like in comic strips) and pointed to the address you'd entered or the spot you'd clicked on the map.  Zoomed out, the pins will be off (mine looks like it's in Kansas) but zoomed in they get more precise.

I put mine in' date=' then noticed I was already there, albeit in the wrong spot.

That was probably me entering pins.  One day I went through the member list and started putting pins in, taking the city, state information from their profile.  I'll get rid of my pin.

Rich,

I’m about to leave Taiwan, and would like to pull my
member-map pin, the only one in all of Asia, to alert the hoards of potential
visitors that my fabulous Carver system (CM-2002 and Realistic Mini’s) will no
longer be available for audition as of 10AM today, China Time.

But I’m too computer stupid to figure out how to do it. It
seems quite willing to let me set another pin, but nothing on
removal.  Or is this a black hole
situation?  I have just time for another
try, while I’m still in a pre-jetlag condition.
