Hey folks! Just got my first Carver, a MHX-2000 (for free!) and have been getting in back to working condition. Always thought these were cool when I was in high school in the ‘80s—especially when I saw Ferris had one! I’m pretty newbie to all this stuff, but own a couple Marantz 2270s that I have recapped and done other repairs on. Have also built a few Parts Express speaker kits. I enjoy the hobby and am eager to learn more. My Carver has a dead tuner display that I replaced the IC to try to fix. It didn’t fix it and now the power LEDs no longer work. That’s my next part to try to repair. I’ve replaced the outpost relays, repaired some broken solder joins, adjusted my voltage and idling current and it sounds great! I’m going to try to hack a Bluetooth receiver into it too. Should be fun. Thanks for having me.
