  1. Thank you. When my wife and I moved to where we are now, about 20years ago, my stereo equipment got delegated to the basement. I never spent much time down there so it was used very little. My wife passed about a year and a half ago from a long bout with stage 4 colon cancer. So I decided I would move my stereo equipment back up to the living room to take my mind off things a bit. When I did I discovered the nakamichi wouldn’t play at all, so it’s in for service. And the foaming was gone from the s1010 woofers. So they went in as well. I have the s1010’s back, still waiting on the nak. I would like to have all of my equipment recapped and whatever with Bill d upgrades or whatever is available. If my local guy is too busy or doesn’t want to do it I would like to try Nelion ( not sure of spelling) I have read they are very good. I have an issue with my preamp not being able to advance the volume more than a hair without being so loud you can’t stand it. Carver says you should be in the 12 o’clock range, I can’t get anywhere near there. Sorry for being so wordy, thanks for listening.
  2. Thank you , very glad to be here. Hope I am posting correctly. I m a bit computer illiterate. lol.
  3. Not sure if I m doing this right but here goes! Yes I have a c-1 pre amp purchased new in the 80’s, a TX-11a tuner, and two M-1.0t amplifiers. All purchased new in 80’s. A few days ago I purchased an SD/A 390t reference tube cd changer from eBay. My nakamichi rx-505 is currently being serviced by a local retired sound engineer. Henk audio and video. My speakers are pioneer S1010’s which were refoamed last year by Finn Henk at Henk audio and video. To sum it up all of my equipment except the cd changer were purchased new at about the same time in the 80’s.
