Greetings all. New to the site, but not to carver by any means. Started in 87 with four Carver M-240 amps in my 76 Formula. Ever sense I've had at least one in almost every system. Now my current system has 3, soon more. Starts with a Richard Gray Power Station, then a Anthem AVM20, using the balanced outputs to feed a DBX 223XL crossover. Lows feed an Carvin Fet 1000 for the mains subs, the high pass feeds a PM 2.0T to a pair of Acoustat 2MH. Subs are Infinity Entra 10, and RBH 1250, crossover points are 50 on the high side, 40 on the lows. Switching to movies adds a PM 120 bridged mono for the center which is a Mythos 3 and a Klipish sub. The surrounds are Infinity RS5's run on a PM 600. The LFE is Also an Infinity, a Modulus 12 with the amp also bypassed, in favor of a Cerwin Vega CV 1800. Sources are Apple 4k tv, Roku 4k steaming stick+, LG UHD Bluray, Sony DVP-S9000ES for CD, Denon DN-961FA also for CD,
and last but not least Sony PS One SCPH 1001 for CD and fun conversations. This has been an absolute blast to build, weeks spent on speaker placement, replaced all screws in the cabinets with T bolts and 1/4 20 bolts, made all my own speaker wire 10 guage milspec. cabling. Planning on building balanced cables next. Next amp upgrade when possible will be a Sunfire Sig 2 channel to replace the Carvin, which replace the Cerwin Vega. Thanks for taking time to read laundry and grocery list. I sometimes will ramble on and on .....
