Thank you @BobTFM35 and hello everyone. I will read through the threads... I actually oiled the motor last night and that has made things a lot quieter. Before, my son was mistaking the amp for the dishwasher in the next room(!). The computer fan sounds like it might be the way to go. Love the sound of the amplifier!

ok, going to try a drop of oil first, any comments from someone with fan experience very much appreciated!

Hi Just joined and just got a pm 1.5 which I think sounds amazing. Very very noisy fan though. So I have a question: should I - lubricate the current fan motor, replace the fan motor, replace the fan with a computer fan or can I even run the amp without the fan? I am using the amp in a domestic setting in a 4m x 5m room Thanks!
