  1. btw i love the sound with the added sub. i live in an apartment and i cant play my system too loud which sux, but i still piss a few people off from time to time.....i couldnt even think about listening to music and some compact all in one space saver that gets sold in department stores.....omg that seems like it would be torture after knowing the difference. the only reason i know about any of this stuff is cuz my boss had a sunfire system at work and when he was away blew one of the channels and needed to find a suitable replacement.....
  2. thank you hashy i bought the connector and i have the denon on in aux with the sub connected to the aux and turned the speakers off and im getting the sub to function......now im gonna see if i can turn the sunfire/carver system off and play my movies through my computer with out having to un plug anything....brb....back...ok so when i turn the sunfire/ carver off and just use the denon my front/ center/ surround speakers work but not the sub...i can deal with that...all i have to do is change the rca connected to the aux and place it into the sub jack...no biggie....and thanks to rich for the advice on the Electrolytic capacitors....once again problem solved by The Carver Site
  3. i connect both the denon and the sunfire with a cable that on one end has left and right rca and the other is a microhone jack...i swap them when i want to listen to music i siply pull out the one from the denon..i do not watch dvd's and i dont play cd's i have 2 TB's of music and movies on my storage drives in my pc.....i do not want to run the sunfire all the time. id like to keep it as long as possible so im trying not to "wear it out" sometimes i fall asleep watching movies and i dont want the sunfire getting all that use.. the denon im very happy with but i can get another much easier than the theater grand...
  4. its a denon avr 1906...i have it connected with an rca cable to the center subwoofer jack
  5. to clarify i have the sub hooked up to my denon currently and its working fine...i use the denon for watching movies......simply i wanted to plug the sub into the sunfire theater grand processor....to see how it sounds with my music in 2 channel....when i plug it into the rca sub connects i get nothing....i dont know why....anyways i figured id run it using speaker wire to my speakers but cnt find anything when bi amping.
  6. ive been on line and cant seem to find anything on this topic. maybe im not wording it right. i have the manual for my Sunfire Theater Grand and also my Polk Monitor 70's but neither explain it. i have 2 Carver M500T's bi amped with my Monitor 70's..i have a Polk Sub which im using with my Denon home theater system connected with RCA cables......i cant seem to get the Theater Grand to play in 2 Channel with the sub through RCA cables. i figured i would wire it to the speakers, but how???? if i wasnt bi amping it very clear to me, but using both top and bottom jacks do i need to run 2 sets of speaker wire????? if anyone can shed any light on the topic or refer me to a link id appreciate it..thanks ps the sub is small its a Pold PSW-10.....i just wanted to see how it sounded
  7. that makes sense to me. thanks. i have 1 more question. i have tried and cannot figure out home to hook my BSR EQ 3000 up to my Denon AVR 1906. i had the eq hooked up to a Carver HR 722 then 1 channel went out on ot. i found the denon and cant seem to figure out how it hooks up.
  8. i just hooked up my new Polk PSW-10 subwoofer to my Denon 7.1 i just ordered a polk center channel speaker. if i have the means should i but regular floor standing speakers for the surround or are "rear surround" speakers better for this??
  9. im astounded at the way my 2 mk2's sound. i dont feel the need to crank it so much like i used to and listening to all kinds of different music now because evrything sounds better
  10. currently i use 2 m500ts with mk2 mod and i bi amp them without a crossover using polk monitor 70's....this sounds very good to me, but i was looking at some old speakers on ebay and craigs list. klipsch heresy has been popping out alot. i was wondering if anyone had experience with these speakers. from what i read they are supposed to be very good sounding speakers. my monitor 70's are a few months old. are these old klipsch speakers (in good condition) seriously gonna sound better than a new set of med range speakers? of course without some surgery i wont be ably to biamp ...any thoughts? any suggestions on a good older speaker i may be able to pick up rather cheap? the cornwalls are nice but out of my price range
  11. the album i go to when i really want to feel good is Pink Floyd Animals.....the song sheep is my favorite
