Cool speaker wire wall plug in, nice  clean and functional.

So now I have to ask which speaker sounds better?😁

Thank You.  I built them into the house.

Not sure I can ever answer the which sounds better, still in testing ;)

I will say that after I rebuilt the cross overs and dampened the Klipsch it was a huge improvement.  Danny Ritchie from GR research's design and parts.

  2. Yes the risers are money well spent IMO, I would buy again for another set.  Robert from Magnarisers is a nice guys and takes a lot of pride in his product which shows

I got my LRS pre covid, but they still took a while.  As far as break in I cant not say I have heard much difference from when I have them until now, except for the risers changing things up a bit (for the better).

I have some future experiments / designs I want to try with Maggies:  Mounting them to the wall, with the ability to rotate in 3 axis to suit my odd room and space

  3. LRS and yes on Magnarisers.  The risers are great, sonic improvement and gets the speakers off the floor.

Maggies are great, except I have to move them out and around to listen to them then back agains the wall.

  4. Looking for the thread size and pitch for a pair of CRM2's I picked up and playing around with.   Both the back and bottom are the same I think.  I find no specs or drawings online

I have a thread gage at the office, but working on a temp stand this weekend at home.

    Could be 1/4-20 or M6

These put out a lot of sound in a small package :)

    Thanks

    Paul

  5. I have several threads on DIY US cleaners as well as some on different cleaning methods before and after under a microscope.  Unable to locate those threads right now bc I am at work.

Here is the video of mine in action.  Works quite well IMO and with some DIY its pretty cheap to build.  I know there are several other DIY versions on this BB

Spin-Clean, made in Pittsburgh and used at the Smithsonian. $76 last I knew, I took mine to CF'18 and cleaned 40 LPs in short order. Now there are motorized units but the cost is huge. I'd prefer to spend the $$ on new vinyl, TT an arm or new cart.

    ray

    I agree with Ray.

I did do the microscope test on the SC and it performed quite well.  If I recall correctly almost enough for me to not use the DIY ultrasonic setup.  Actually, I clean with the US rig first, then use my SC as a rinse then air dry.

My biggest issue currently is static, which will soon improve.  Carpet, wool socks and me shuffling my feet added to cold temps can send blue flames out my fingertips.  It is now common practice for me to discharge before I touch my equipment LOL

  7. After about 1-1/2 years in storage, I've dug out my DIY ultrasonic cleaner and fired the cleaning beast back up.

After 30 min cleaning in a distilled water, x-10 and 99% ipa mixture I use the record spin-clean as a rinse cycle with distilled water and just a touch of ipa.

For those of you interested, there is a long thread on this when I brought it to life about 3 years ago.  Included are microscope before and after.

  8. Interesting video DJ.

Its cause and effect with me.  I can see, feel and hear my vinyl due to my actions.

Same could be argued with digital, and digital is what I am currently listening to more at this point of my transient life

  9. For those of you Dead fans, there are quite a few full shows from this leg of Dead & Co on YouTube.  Catch them while you can ;)  If your not a Dead fan, still worth watching.

I've been enjoying them all weekend long.
Mayer is doing an excellent job, regardless of his past attitude, or current fashion.  Oteil Brubridge is having a great time and it shows.  Mickey, Bill and Bob are the best they've sounded in some time IMO, and Jeff Chimenti rounds out the group nicely.

Boston night 2 so far is at the top of my list.

  10.

Roger Waters "Amused to Death"    Quality Records 2015 pressing is so good I can't stop listening to it.  The SH is the best of any vinyl I have.

I received my copy yesterday, cool picture disc!  Its made its way through the ultrasonic cleaning I do with all before I play.  Hope to give it a listen this evening or tomorrow am.

    Thanks for the recomendation
